2022 TAS Photo Contest Now Open!

The Tampa Audubon Photo Contest is now open for submissions!  You may enter the contest now through December 31, 2022.  To enter, visit the TAS website and follow the link to the contest page (https://www.tampaaudubon.org/photo-contest).

As in previous contests, we have three categories: 1) Birds, 2) Native Plants, and 3) Wildlife, Habitats & Landscapes.  

Feel free to enter as many photos as you would like; there is no limit.  TAS members receive a discounted rate of $5/photo entry, and non—members pay $10/photo.  If you are not a member, please consider joining TAS to take advantage of the member rate. You will also be joining a wonderful community.

Winners of the contest will be determined by a panel of photography and naturalist expert judges.  The judges will evaluate each photo on technical quality, originality, and artistic merit.  In addition, a People’s Choice Award will be decided through an online voting platform.

TAS members will decide the People Choice Award by voting on this website.  

Voting is disabled while the contest is underway but will be enabled on January 1st once the contest submission deadline has passed. Voting will be open till 12pm (noon) on January 5, 2023.  Please vote only once.  To avoid voting bias, the photographer’s name has been kept confidential and the website automatically randomizes the order the photos are shown.  

The winning photograph will be the one with the overall highest score.

Get Involved With Tampa Audubon Tampa Audubon is involved in a broad range of fantastic projects that will help you learn more about birds and how to preserve their habitat. These projects are led by a group of hard-working, dedicated people who need your help! Volunteering with Tampa Audubon is a great way to learn about nature in Hillsborough County and forge new friendships.   In this list, we've described our projects and provided contact information for the people who lead those projects. We'd love to have you lend your energy and special talents.    ►  Mary  Miller  oversees  Bluebird Trails , including the one she monitors at Flatwoods Nature Park in northeast Hillsborough County. Bluebird trail volunteers manage the trails and monitor the birds that nest in the boxes that Mary and her team erect. ►  Terri Simons  is the volunteer coordinator for  Lettuce Lake Park .
